Maintain Hydration

Knowing your sweat rate is a great way to maintain proper hydration and it’s simple to do.

  1. Measure how much weight you lose during exercise (in ounces).

    Note: 1 lb. = 16 oz.

    Example: ½ lb. = 8 oz.

  2. Measure the amount of fluid (in ounces) you consume during exercise.

    Example: 1 Bottle of Propel = 24 oz.

  3. Add the numbers together to learn your sweat rate and know how much fluid to consume to replace sweat losses.

    Example: 8 oz.+ 24 oz. = 32 oz.
