If you’re thirsty, you may already be dehydrated. So how do you know if you’re drinking enough fluid? Here are some tips to help keep you properly hydrated.

  • Drink about a half-cup of water for every 100 calories you expend.
  • Think about fluid consumption as a necessary base for good health and performance.
  • Equate an ounce with a gulp—so 8 to 10 adult gulps are approximately an 8 ounce serving.
